POLICIES

  • At SwimForLife, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalized swimming lessons while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Please review our service policies below:

    Lesson Structure & Availability

    • Private and group lessons are available. Group lessons are only offered for children of similar ages and skill levels.

    • Lessons are tailored to each swimmer’s individual goals, whether overcoming fear of water, refining technique, or preparing for competitive swimming.

    Payment & Cancellations

    • Payment is accepted via cash, Zelle, or check and must be completed before or at the time of the lesson.

    • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged. If a lesson is canceled within 48 hours, you will be responsible for the full session fee, as that time could have been allocated to another swimmer.

    Weather Policy

    • Lessons will not be canceled due to rain. Sessions will proceed as scheduled unless there is thunder, lightning, or a heavy downpour.

    • If your child is sensitive to cold, wetsuits or rash guards are encouraged for their comfort.

    Pool Requirements

    • The recommended pool temperature is at least 87°F, with an ideal temperature of 90°F for younger children. Warmer water enhances comfort and learning.

    • Please ensure your pool is clean and properly maintained before each lesson.

    Safety & Learning Expectations

    • Swim lessons do not make a child drown-proof. Constant supervision around water is essential.

    • Every swimmer progresses at their own pace. There is no guarantee of achieving specific time goals—learning is about consistency, confidence, and individual growth.

    • Pushing a swimmer too soon can increase fear rather than build confidence. Our methodology focuses on progress at a comfortable, natural pace for each student.

By booking a lesson, you acknowledge and agree to these policies. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your swimming journey!

Waiver Form & Liability Release

By booking swim lessons or lifeguard services with Victoria Perez Silvestro and her team, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

I, the Participant or Parent/Guardian, understand that participation in swim lessons or hiring lifeguard services involves inherent risks, including but not limited to drowning, slips, falls, or other water-related accidents.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with swim lessons and/or supervised aquatic activities and agree to waive, release, and discharge Victoria Perez Silvestro, her employees, contractors, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or damages arising from participation in the lessons or while under lifeguard supervision.

I understand that:

  • Swim lessons do not guarantee water safety. Every swimmer progresses at their own pace, and pushing too hard can create fear rather than confidence.

  • Lifeguards provide supervision but do not replace personal responsibility. While lifeguards are trained to prevent and respond to emergencies, accidents can still occur.

  • Pool conditions, weather, and external factors are beyond the instructor’s or lifeguard’s control.

2. Pool Conditions & Responsibilities

By participating in lessons or events, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • The client is responsible for ensuring the pool is in a safe and usable condition. This includes proper maintenance, water clarity, and required safety equipment.

  • For lifeguard services, the client must inform the lifeguard of any known risks, medical conditions, or specific supervision needs.

  • Lessons are not canceled for rain. Unless there is thunder, lightning, or a heavy downpour, the scheduled lesson or event will proceed.

  • Pool temperature should be at least 87°F (30°C). Warmer water is recommended for young children to ensure comfort.

3. Cancellations & Payment

By participating in lessons or events, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, or the full session fee will be charged.

  • Payment must be made via cash, Zelle, or check at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Instructors and lifeguards reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are deemed unsafe.

4. Media Release & Privacy

By participating in lessons or events, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • Photos and/or videos may occasionally be taken during swim sessions or lifeguard-supervised activities, but only with the explicit permission of the client or parent/guardian.

  • I will always inform and ask for permission before taking any photos or videos.

  • These images may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the company website, social media, and marketing materials.

  • No personal information (such as names or locations) will be shared alongside the images.

  • If I do not wish for photos/videos to be taken or used, I must notify Victoria Perez Silvestro and her team in writing before the lesson or event.

By booking a swim lesson or lifeguard service, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily assuming all risks associated with these services and releasing Victoria Perez Silvestro and her team from any liability.
